It is our top priority at Detonate to keep all children and team safe from harm.

Safeguarding policy

Although we are a “churches together” event, for the purposes of good governance, Detonate comes under the Safeguarding Policy of St Andrew’s Church Chorleywood. This can be found in full on their website at  www.st-andrews.org.uk

Our process for recruiting team members in close contact with the children requires the team member to be DBS checked and to undergo safeguarding training as per Church of England guidance.

We have a full risk assessment of the site and have security on the site 24/7 and the main gate is manned when the children are on site. The top gate is locked during the day and is manned covering the period of arrival and departure.
